Disaster Docs

The Santa Cruz County Medical Society (SCCMS) and CruzMed Foundation (CMF) continue to support community preparedness in partnership with the County Health Services Agency and the American Red Cross.  Physicians interested in volunteering for public health emergencies and disasters when they occur locally, regionally or nationally can become a medical response volunteer for the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and the American Red Cross (ARC).

MRC and ARC volunteers are trained to work within existing county emergency response structures to provide enhanced surge capacity, triage and emergency health services in the event of a public health emegency and disasters such as pandemics, earthquakes, fires, or terrorist events.

To join Disaster Docs contact Donna Odryna, CEO at (831) 479-7226 or
