SCCMS Programs

The Santa Cruz County Medical Society proudly presents the Community Health Care Lyceum.  Our members are actively involved in serving their community with the following Mission Statement as their guideline:

We pledge to advocate for the professional practice of medicine, excellent patient care, public health and the education and well being of patients and physicians.

We believe that the patient physician relationship is vital in the healing process; the continual improvement of this relationship will be our guide.

One of the ways to accomplish the SCCMS mission is offering physician speakers for free to community groups.  Fill out the Venue Signup Form and mail to SCCMS.  On the back side of the form is a list of available presentation subjects.  However, if there is a topic you wish to have a speaker present, but it is not on the form, write it at the bottom.  The staff will do their best to fulfill your wish.

Over the last couple of years SCCMS and the AMSA chapter at UCSC have worked closely together to provide physician speaker and/or instructors to AMSA meetings.  Read a short article about this community relationship and why it is important both the the students and to the physicians who volunteered to talk with them.

Are you a SCCMS member interested in being a speaker?  Fill out this Speaker Signup Form and mail it to the SCCMS office.

For more information, please call the SCCMS office, M-Th, 9-4 at 831-479-7226.

Mail should be sent to:  1975 Soquel Drive, Suite 215, Santa Cruz  CA  95065.
