Santa Cruz County Medical Society's web site

One part of the mission of the Santa Cruz County Medical Society is to help educate the public and its members about medical issues. To that end the Society runs several programs for both groups.

Listed below are the programs offered by the Society. Click the name of a program to go directly to detailed information about that program.

• Annual Membership Directory is released in July.  We welcome advertisements and the public may purchase a copy.
• Physicians' Art & Music Show - presented each September.
• EHR Demo Day - for all physicians in Santa Cruz county, Saturday June 19, 2010.
• Excellence in Health Care Award is given annually to a deserving member.
• Health Care Lyceum - physician members go out into the community to give free talks on any medical issue.
• Mediation Service - a free service offered to patients and physicians to help mediate problems before they escalate.
• Membership Dinners - annually there are 3 dinners where members can socialize and hear a speaker on a pertinent topic.
• Practice Managers - a networking/educational opportunity for the managers  of all members' practices.
• Practice Management Seminars -  focus on issues of operating a medical practice.
• Santa Cruz County Medical Reserve Corps - sponsored by SCCMS this self-governing group of medical professionals responds to large emergencies.
